Facility Program

Project Walk offers various programs that range from Facility Training sessions to Home Recovery Programs. The most effective recovery plan for any client is to participate in one of our Facility Program options. These options range from a one-week visit to a reoccurring schedule for clients who live within driving distance of a Project Walk Franchise. No matter what program a client chooses, our certified staff will create a customized exercise prescription that meets the individual’s exact spinal cord injury, rehabilitation, SCI, rehabilitation, project walkneeds.

Please review the Facility Programs below and decide which program works best for you. If you are unable to attend a Project Walk location, you may want to consider our Home Recovery Program options.

Local Client Program
This program is for clients who live near a Project Walk facility and can come in on a regular basis. This is the most popular program because it gives clients consistent access to our Certified Recovery Specialists throughout the duration of their recovery. As a client’s recovery progresses, our Specialists can refine the exercise regimen and techniques on a day-to-day basis to maximize their potential for improvement. This program is custom-tailored for clients based on their injury and resources. The program is designed to also incorporate the Client Recovery Materials for clients when they are not training in the facility.

We recommend that clients use the Online Recovery Materials in conjunction with their time spent at Project Walk in order to maximize their recovery process. Keep in mind that Local Client Programs are customized to meet the needs of each client. Thus, specific hours and days for each program will be determined based on their needs and resources.
Visiting Client Program

This program has the client come to a Project Walk facility for a minimum of one week. During that week, they will work one-on-one with our Certified Recovery Specialists. The client will learn how to perform the exercises that will be most beneficial to their specific injury level and for the resources they will have upon returning home.

Similar to the Local Client Program, clients receive one year of access to the Online Recovery Materials and many clients enroll in the Home Recovery Program. The Home Recovery Program is extremely important to our visiting clients, as it will not only prepare them for their return home, but will give them the support and resources they need to continue to improve when at home.

The minimum stay for a Visiting Client Program is 1 week (5 days). However, the average stay is 6 weeks, which results in most clients only training 3 or 4 days a week. If you would like to visit Project Walk for longer than one week, the changes to your program and exact costs can be determined with acceptance of your application.

Train Your Trainer Program
This program is similar to our Visiting Client Program; however, it has the two significant advantages that prepare visiting clients for their return home. During a client's visit they will complete the normal training hours but at the same time their family member or friend will be trained to assist in their recoveryspinal cord injury programs, project walk locations, rehabilitation centers, spinal cord injury patient.

While the client is training with their Certified Recovery Specialist, their family member/friend will be working with you and receiving hands-on instruction in The Project Walk Method. This will give the client and their family the basic expertise needed to assist in their home workout sessions.

The Train Your Trainer Program includes the same Client Recovery Materials that the previous two programs provide in order to prepare clients for their visit and assist them when they return home. The Home Recovery Program option should also be considered with the TYT program as it provides clients with the support and resources they need to continue to improve at home.

Similar to the Visiting Client Program, the minimum stay for a Train Your Trainer Program is 1 week (5 days). However, the average stay is also about 6 weeks which results in most clients only training 3 or 4 days a week. If clients would like to visit Project Walk for longer than one week the changes to their program and exact costs can be determined with acceptance of their application.
