About Us

The Boston franchise was opened by Jacqueline and Larry Arlen who first experienced Project Walk when their daughter, paralympian swimmer Victoria; spent a few weeks at the San Diego location. Victoria lives with Transverse Myelitis, a debilitating disease that causes injury to the spinal cord. When Jacqueline and Larry witnessed a change in Victoria; they felt moved to bring the experience to their hometown.

Founded in 1999, Project Walk provides activity-based recovery
programs designed around industry leading research, training, and
state-of-the-art technology to increase mobility in clients who have a
spinal cord injury and other forms of paralysis. For over a decade
individuals affected by various forms of paralysis have travel across
the world to participate in Project Walk’s program.
Clients can begin the program as soon as they leave the hospital
and can continue full-time at a center or at home through the most
comprehensive integrated home care model on the market today. The
Project Walk Method, practiced only at Project Walk, is supported by
published research that shows 71% of clients improve function below the
level of injury.
